A Dream Born on Tarmac and Gravel
From his earliest days in karting, Mille Johansson had one goal, to become World Rally Champion.
But instead of rushing straight into rallying, Mille made a choice that would define his career. He joined Aquila Formula 1000 not to change direction, but to build the skills and mindset needed to win at the highest level.
“Aquila Formula 1000 was my first real opportunity to drive a proper race car,” Mille says.
“It taught me control, focus, and precision — all the things that now make the difference in rallying.”

Learning the Language of Speed
Inside an Aquila Formula 1000, young drivers learn more than how to go fast.
They learn the discipline of braking at the limit, the feeling of a car rotating through aero balance, and the importance of working with data and engineers.
It’s where raw speed becomes structured performance and where talent meets understanding.
For Mille, those lessons became the foundation of everything that came after.
The focus, the car control, the adaptability, all the tools that would later make him one of rallying’s brightest young stars.
From Single-Seater to Special Stages
After his time in Aquila Formula 1000, Mille turned his full attention to rallying armed with experience, precision, and confidence.
Step by step, he climbed through the ranks, translating his circuit-honed skills to the unpredictable world of gravel, snow, and tarmac stages.
And in 2025, that journey reached its peak.
In an intense, season-long battle in the FIA Junior World Rally Championship, Mille Johansson and co-driver Johan Grönvall fought for every second, every stage, every corner.
The title came down to the final corner of the final stage and when the dust settled, Mille and Johan were World Champions, winning by just 1.6 seconds.
“It’s unbelievable,” Mille said after the finish. “Everything I’ve learned from karting to Formula 1000 to rally it all came together this weekend.”
Proud Beyond Words
For us at Aquila Formula 1000, Mille’s story is more than a victory.
It’s proof of what our philosophy has always been about that real talent can flourish anywhere, whether it’s in a Formula car, a GT, a prototype, or a rally stage.
We’ve seen our alumni succeed in disciplines across the motorsport world, and Mille’s world championship is another shining example of what happens when opportunity meets determination.
“We couldn’t be prouder,” says the Aquila Formula 1000 team.
“Mille represents everything our series stands for skill, humility, and relentless drive. His path from Formula 1000 to FIA Junior WRC shows that great drivers aren’t born overnight. They’re built one race, one corner, one lesson at a time.”
From Dreams to Destinations
From karting to single seaters, from Formula 1000 to the global rally stage Mille Johansson’s rise is a testament to what’s possible when talent meets the right environment.
And as we look toward the next generation of young drivers, one thing is certain:
Aquila Formula 1000 will always be the place where great careers begin.
Congratulations
