Test Drive an Aquila Formula 1000 Single Seater Race Car at Gelleråsen Arena on October 12
Together with The Swedish Autosport Federation, The Nordic Formula 1000 Series is putting on an open youth test day to allow new up and coming talents to try out the car in a controlled environment. It all goes down on Sunday, October 12th, and is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the people and the car to take that next step after karting!

Here is the schedule for the day:
08.15-08.30
SBF invites everyone to a welcome fika (sandwich and tea/coffee/water) and mingle for all youths + respective relatives in the large white tent behind the restaurant.
08.30-09.15
Information from the Racing and Karting Committees and class representatives.
09.15-12.00
Racing license training (free of charge for all registered karting youths) in the large conference room.
11.45-13.00
Lunch – The committees invite all registered youths + respective relatives.
09.30-17.00
Test driving of cars for those who already have a racing license.
13.00-17:00
Test driving of cars also for those of you who are undergoing today’s racing license training. Note that all test driving is paid for by you, the driver.
When you need to search for information about racing, it’s good to know SBF’s official website, which you can find here:
There you can find all the rules, contact persons, links to all racing classes, results tables, results lists, and news.
As preparation for the license course, it is important that you have read and understood all the rules regarding racing.
We therefore want you to study the rules in these two links:
- General rules, these you should have already encountered as they apply to all motorsport
- Also read through our specific rules for racing:
It is these two sets of regulations that you will work with during the racing license course, and be examined on.
To register for a test session on October 12th:
Register via bengan@racefoto.se and please copy varland.johan@gmail.com if you want to test Aquila. Send your name, address, birthday, height, mobile number and email – as well as the guardian’s details if necessary.
In Aquila Formula 1000, you can compete from the year you turn 13. If you have a lot of experience from karting, you can test drive as early as the year you turn 12. The contact person will decide this.
The Aquila can be test driven from the year you turn 13 (or 12 with an exemption), at a cost of 1950 SEK per stint. Bring your own equipment if possible – otherwise it is available for rent. Several of the cars are also for sale.
