After six rounds, only the final of Aquila Formula 1000 2026 remains. This weekend, September 19–20, this year’s champion will be crowned at Ring Djursland in Denmark – and heading into the decider, just 19 points separate Even Hoff Knai and Albin Gustafsson in the battle for both the overall title and the Junior-RM championship. The maximum point you can get in a race weekend is 120 points.
Hoff Knai travels to Denmark as championship leader in the Nordic region’s premier entry-level formula racing series, having extended his lead during the home round at Rudskogen. The Norwegian has amassed 605 points over the season, with Gustafsson close behind on 586.
The two have traded the top spot throughout the year, with margins remaining slim. Now only a single race weekend remains where everything will be decided.
“It’s the last round and now everything will be decided. I think it’ll look much like it has all season, very close, where small details and margins matter a lot. I’ll give everything to try to win the series and I’m incredibly fired up,” says Albin Gustafsson.
Behind the top duo, Enzo Cohlin sits third in the Junior-RM standings on 439 points, followed by Denmark’s Mason Bjerring on 373. Meanwhile, Max Stjernelund and Carl-Wilhelm Björnemalm are separated by just a single point in the fight for fifth place, 291 to 290.
Hoff Knai also leads the rookie championship, ahead of Bjerring and Björnemalm. The Senior championship has already been decided in Andreas Skatteboe’s favor after a strong season in which he collected 499 points. In the Senior championship, Celina Hessman follows in second place with 233 points, while Johan Varland is third on 150 points heading into the final.
The final at Ring Djursland marks the second consecutive race held outside Sweden and closes out a season that has taken Aquila Formula 1000 to seven rounds across three countries.

It’s been great fun following the drivers’ development throughout the year, and now on top of that we have a really tight championship battle to be settled. The final weekend kicks off on Saturday with practice and qualifying, before the first race starts at 13:55. On Sunday, two more races follow, at 09:40 and 13:35, before the champions of Aquila Formula 1000 2026 are crowned.
